Stripes & Pearl Accents

Striped pants are an underrated item. I see them getting some recognition, but it's nowhere near the widespread adoration that that deserve. Maybe they're too adventurous to exist anywhere beyond the fringes of society? Forever banished to the coffee shops and upscale specialty grocery stores of the world's gentrifying neighborhoods? (There's a definite Fishtown vibe to any look featuring striped pants, IMO. I'm sure this also applies to Williamsburg, BK and basically all of Portland.) Whatever the case may be, I will unabashedly advocate for the normalization of statement pants, starting with these somewhat ridiculous beauties I wore to brunch at Suraya a few weeks ago. They're clearly meant for summer wear but I just added some tights and pretended that I didn't know. It worked, okay?
