My Top 10 Wayfair Finds
After living in my new home for a few months, I’m finally starting to see it come together. I’m trying to keep most of the furniture in the house antique or otherwise high-quality, but I did hit Wayfair pretty hard early on for those little homey touches that were needed right away.
It’s easy to waste several hours away on Wayfair, so I rounded up my top ten favorite purchases so far. Not only are these all quite lovely, I’d give each and every piece a glowing review. Some may be marked out of stock, but Wayfair is good at notifying when a particular item is back. I’d consider most, if not all of these finds, in the budget-friendly category so you can shop to your heart’s content.
Anderton Metal End Table, $137
I have this in my living room, between my two Hofstetter Armchairs. It’s less shiny in real life than in the photo and very light but it looks like a more expensive piece of furniture: simple enough to look right in the room, but interesting enough to stand out. LINK
Hofstetter Armchair, $176
As mentioned above, I have two of these in my family room. I got them as a placeholder to eventually donate when I found vintage pieces I loved more but they’re surprisingly solid, and paired with my Moroccan pouf ottomans, also comfortable enough to watch a movie in or read for a bit. I like that they’re simple and allow my vintage floral sofa to be the star of the show. LINK
Makenna End Table, $123
This end table lives next to one of my guest beds. It’s in what we affectionately refer to as “the blue room,” which is—you guest it—the guest room that’s painted blue. Compared to the rest of the house, it’s a little more modern and boho-inspired, so I love how this MCM-inspired table looks with it. Plus, the bottom shelf is nice for stacking a few books. LINK
Jayesh White Concrete Table Vase, $46
While I prefer to get small goods such as vases and candles from small businesses themselves, I couldn’t resist adding this vase to my cart while I was putting together a big order. I absolutely love it and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. Plus, it’s heavy so if you’re in need of some sort of weapon in the event of an intruder… you know what to do. LINK
Heyman Kilim Hand-Tufted Area Rug, $109-$450
I got this rug in its largest size for under the table in my formal dining room. The furniture in there are all pieces that I bought from the previous owner, and they’re beautiful but perhaps a little “buttoned up” for my taste. As soon as I put this rug in the room, it instantly went from “somebody else’s dining room” to “my dining room.” All it needed was the rug! It’s one of my favorite things I’ve purchased for the home, hands down. (the one I have is “orange.”) LINK
Owl Pitcher, $37
Once again with the small goods, I prefer my pitches vintage and almost all of them are—except for this one, because I just love owls and I couldn’t pass it up. I love using it to serve guests cocktails out on the porch, which feels so damn southern to me. LINK
Modbury Solid Wood Desk, $278
This desk really is SOLID. With the exception of a few smaller pieces like the side table above, I don’t want any particle board in my home: only pieces that will last a long time. This desk is in the same price range as a lot of the flat-pack crap out there but it’s real wood, and it’s impressively sturdy. All I had to do was attach the legs, the rest of it—even the drawer—were already assembled. LINK
Kelby Armchair, $370
I use this as my desk chair and I love it. I added a little pad to make it comfortable for the hours and hours that I spend in it, and while it’s not as comfortable as an ugly, ergonomic desk chair, it’s lovely, which I need because my office is attached to and visible from my dining room. Unlike so many other Wayfair chairs, this one came fully assembled. LINK
Dunnes Desk Lamp, $136
I burnt the bottom of the plastic bulb of my lamp with a candle (oops) but I still love it. It’s more tasteful than a lot of other desk lamps, and adds a nice little bit of 70’s flair to my home. LINK
Southwestern Ivory/Navy Area Rug, $95-$583
This rug, also in my office, is another one of my favorite purchases and one I get a lot of compliments on as well. It’s a little on the thin side but otherwise very high quality. A lot of people have asked me if it’s vintage. I wish, but, no. Wayfair! LINK
